It is my intention to give the readers a better understanding of what we do to maintain The Farms Country Club's 18 hole championship golf course and grounds.

March Madness!

March Madness has certainly hit The Farms Country Club! NCAA basketball is taking a back-seat to the great playing conditions of late. The course is shaping up nicely, especially for mid-March. All greens are open and carts are available!
The maintenance staff has been focusing on course cleanup, putting surfaces and making some course supplies available.
Greens have been aerified, topdressed, mowed and rolled and are remarkably smooth for this early in the season.
As you play the course, make note of the winter damage to greens #11 & #13. We have already overseeded these areas so they will be a little bumpier than the rest. We will continually nurse the effected areas back to health over the next few weeks.
All tees and fairways have been cleaned up and fairways have been mowed.
I encourage all of you to take advantage of the outstanding 70 degree temperatures today and tomorrow. Even Sunday looks like a bargain at 60 degrees.
Beginning next week our focus will be continued cleanup and bunker preparation.
I look forward to seeing all of you on the course!!!
