Welcome to my blog!
It is my intention to give the readers a better understanding of what we do to maintain The Farms Country Club's 18 hole championship golf course and grounds.

Forward Tees Completed

The forward tees have been sodded and look great! I have heard a few questions about laying sod late in the season and if it will survive winter. Do not worry! The sod will be fine and some has already started to root.

I would like to thank architect Mark Mungeam and construction contractor Jerry Deemer of Country Golf Inc. They did a fantastic job!

Here are some pictures of what the tees look like now!

Forward Tee Update

The forward tee project is starting to come together. Nice weather today and tomorrow will certainly help the crew get a great deal of work done!

VERY IMPORTANT: Please do NOT walk on construction areas! Especially after sod has been installed!

Forward Tee Project Started

Thanks to our "Farms Team", led by chairperson Nancy Burke, the forward tee project started this week. Nancy's countless hours of  hard work, leadership and organizational skills were integral to our ability to get to the construction phase! There are too many people to thank for their support during the two year process leading up to construction, but I do thank you all!
Here are a few pictures of what has been accomplished in the first couple days. I will keep everyone updated on our progress.

It Could Have Been Worse

We received 3.75 inches of rain in Monday's storm. It was very windy but damage was minor. Thankfully, there are no leaves on the deciduous trees yet or it would have been worse. We are pumping bunkers and repairing the ones we can get to.
The recently repaired bunkers on #4 & #8 performed extremely well!
